  • What is the Elijah7000 Movement about? What is the call and mission?
Elijah7000 is a movement of Christian fathers seeking to turn the hearts of fathers and children to each other [Malachi 4:5-6]. Fathers of faith are God's solution for out nations, to push back the waves of attack on marriage and family. As we learn to walk in God's ancient paths of blessing for raisin a godly generation, we se out homes strengthened and out nation transformed. Ultimately, the Gospal of Luke describes a powerful restoration movement of fathers and children across generations, in the spirit of Elijah (Luke 1:17). Come join us in this call and missions!
  • What is the most essential thing in fathering? Is there a model of bilblical fatherhood?
Jesus, the only begotten Son and way to the Father, reveals the fatherhood of God in His love for us [John 3:16. 14:6, 15:9]. Our fathering practice often gets us so busy with family needs and managing dos and don'ts, we we lose the heart of fathering. Like the parable of the lost son [Luke 15:11-32], Jesus shows us that godly fatherhood begins with out hearts being turned to out children, and committing to walk with them through life. The expression of love goes beyond ministering to the needs of our children
  • Why does Elijah7000 focus on fathering? What is the vision for fathers gathering across the nation?
Research has shown the positive and invaluable impact of father involvement in children's lives. However, raising children today is a complex role, with digital devices and media eroding traditional values and the formation of a healthy identity. Fathers set the tone in the family, and being equipped with a greater range of parenting skills and options enables us to create a vibrant home environment, and deal with common issues. Elijah7000 is also a rallying call to Christian fathers to rebuild the walls around Family in our community. We stand and work with Christian ministries that equip fathers and families to nurture faith at home. Fatherlessness in different forms leaves relational wounds which need the healing love of our heavenly Father. We can help families along by coming together to play our part, to represent God's heart as a father to the fatherless.

  • How What is a Family Prayer Altar all about? How should I begin one in my family?
As head of the household, Christian fathers play a significant role in setting the spiritual climate in the home. Families that commit to a regular time of reading the World and praying together are able to raise up and reconcile issues more readily and easily especially when the father takes the lead. This Family Devotional or Family Prayer Alter keep each gamily member accountable for their own spiritual walk with God, and can be a safe place to invite relatives and friends too.
  • What is the #456 Prayer Altar for Fathers & Family? Is this open to everyone?
Elijah7000 has been gathering fathers across churches in a #456 national prayer altar for fathers and family. Since 2015, this has been run as a 50-Day season of daily prayer from Father's Day to National Day, then weekly on Saturday early morning from 4.56am to 6.30am. We've witnessed God's grace at work with hearts of fathers being turned back to God, and to their children, and wayward children turning back to the family! In the time of Elijah, a severe drought was over the land, but before the rain could come, fire from heaven had to visit the restored altar of the Lord on Mt Carmel. [1 Kings 18:30] Join us in praying for a fresh spiritual outpouring in our families and our children's generation.
